The Knoxville Academy of Medicine Placement Service (KAMPS) is physician-owned and all fees go directly back to our medical society – a “win-win” situation!! Placement fees are discounted for KAM members and non-members enjoy competitive rates. Due to our combination of reasonable rates (fees) and our commitment to be your staffing partner, KAMPS is usually the first place client’s call when they need medical staffing!
KAMPS works directly with area physicians and their medical practices and clinics to provide quality medical talent in Knoxville and the surrounding counties. KAMPS can meet your short or long-term employment needs and we strive to recruit the best candidates possible. We also offer a temp-to-hire placement option that provides employees on a temporary basis with the option for the client to hire them as their own employee. All temporary, temp-to-hire and direct-hire candidates go through the same thorough screening process.

Temporary Placement
KAMPS can meet short-term and long-term employment (staffing) needs through Temporary Placement. We search our database for qualified medical staff to cover your office staffing needs when your staff is out ill, on vacation/leave, or during seasonal peak periods. Our temporary employees can also help you “bridge the gap”, due to growth, rapid expansion, or terminations, while you conduct your search for the best new or replacement candidate. All temporary employees are paid weekly through and classified as KAMPS employees covering the following administrative responsibilities:
- Worker’s Comp
- Malpractice Insurance
- FICA
- Withholding
- Provided an OSHA Manual
Temp-to-Hire Placement
Another option our clients consider is KAMPS Temp-to-Hire placement that provides employees on a temporary basis with the option for your practice to hire them as your employee. These are KAMPS employees until the client exercises the option to complete their hiring actions and convert the employee to their payroll by one of the following methods:
- The KAMPS employee has worked 500 consecutive hours for the same client/practice; or,
- The client decides to purchase the employees contract with KAMPS.
KAMPS offers replacement guarantees if the candidate does not work out as expected.
Direct Hire
With our Direct Hire option you pay only a low, one-time fee before the applicant becomes your employee. At your request, KAMPS will fax resumes of possible candidates that fit your criteria. KAMPS will also assist in coordinating the interview (s). We even offer a 90 day replacement guarantee for all direct hire employees. If someone placed through KAMPS is unsatisfactory during the first 30 days, your fee will be refunded. If the employee leaves between their 31st and 90th day of employment, KAMPS will offer you a free replacement—your satisfaction is guaranteed!
